Future 2011 Ford Mondeo will debut in concept form and will feature the new line of EcoBoost engines of the American manufacturer. Thus, the future will benefit from a Mondeo 1.4 liter engine and 150 hp, but also a 1.6-liter unit, which offers between 150 and 180 hp.
The guys from AutoExpress have created the first digitally processed images of the future Ford Mondeo. The present kinetic design language – applied over the entire range of Ford cars – which will help him attack a higher segment of the market. Thus, the model will rival Mondeo upper middle class segment. In addition to new designs, the future of Ford Mondeo will have a more economical range of engines that will not be compromising performance.
Ford Mondeo with the new range will offer EcoBoost, which offers the same level of performance with more displacement while their fuel consumption is by 20% lower than the previous generation. CO2 emissions will also be reduced along with fuel consumption, which will make the new Ford Mondeo attractive to customers. The new EcoBoost range goes on the road with a 1.6 liter engine that offers between 150 and 180 hp. Later, Ford will introduce a propeller of 2.0 liters, which will develop over 200 hp, and a 1.4 liter engine that offers 150 horsepower.
Ford Mondeo ST’s version will not exist and the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine will also be replaced by a EcoBoost unit. Top of the range models Ford will receive even a propellant EcoBoost V6 3.5 liter that provides 350 hp and 475 Nm. Besides EcoBoost range of engines, Ford will equip the new Duratorq diesel powered Mondeo, which received significant enhancements.
The new Ford Mondeo will be presented in concept form in these 18 months, and sales will start in 2012.
